After almost a year in a hiatus, I decided I should post something or submit a photo.
Actually, my DA subscription ends tomorrow, so I thought I'd be clever to use its colourful options since it will probably remain in the main page for a while.

Nowadays I don't really have much time to come here as often as I used to, it's just that I'm working now. Also, I'm sorry If I haven't commented your photos, I keep coming here and comment a few, but not all. Sorry.

Anyway, I've been taking a lot of photos lately, but I not quite sure if I'll post them because they're just more of the kind of photography I've making, which sort of bores me.

Related with the last photo I submitted (Overlooking Barcelona)and other things, I have a couple of them that you might wanna take a look or not....;) anyhow there you go -> My Flickr Photos

Currently, I'm just utterly excited with the fact that I'm gonna see Patrick Wolf again, in 2 weeks  The Magic Position (his new album) fits my mood perfectly every single day. The song with the same name of the album, is just an an hymn to positiveness and to some sort of broadway falling in love, Julie Andrews singing in the friggin mountains- You can see the video in here: Magic Position

I'm not completely found of the new album, though, and I absolutely hate the cover of the album. I wish he had picked this for the cover instead:

I'm off. 2 undernourished egos, four rotating hips

Mood: Busy Anxious
Listening to: Nick Cave&Waren Ellis-The Rider song
Watching: The Proposition

I’m officially out fellow deviants :bye:

Until the end of July I won’t be around. I won’t, therefore, be able to comment your photos or reply to your journals. My finals started last week and for the first time ever I have 7 exams among essays and orals. Don’t ask me how I intend to pull this one out, especially because it’s my last year and every single subject as to be resumed, but hey I’m taking exam by exam and I’ll work from there ^^;

I’m sorry that my comments have been sort of late. Also, I promised to some of you that I’d show the Djerba (Tunisia) photos but since I haven’t uploaded this since March, I wasn’t able to do so, anyway here they are, I guess better late than never ;) click here :pointr: [link]

(if you wanna see the original photo click "Get the original uploaded photo).

According to what I read in some of your journals, lots of deviants are attending Massive Attack gig, so I guess we’ll see each others back there. Wave hello, will ya?  I'm so excited that we're going to see them in such a great venue and not a festival or a massive huge space.

M.A:

Recollect me darling raise me to your lips
Two undernourished egos four rotating hips
Hold on to me tightly I'm a sliding scale
Can't endure then you can't inhale
Slowly
Moving up slowly
Inertia keeps

Oh and good luck to everyone who’s having exams too

Great works- Handing out cherries to:

SIGUR FUCKING RÓS!

Fri Mar 17, 2006, 1:23 PM
:worship: Sigur Rós are back!! :worship:  :happycry: :w00t!:

16 july, Lisbon. You know what's funny? They're playing at Pavilhão Atlântico...I mean could they have thought of a worst venue with such execrable sound quality for a band with the sound and need for intimacy like Sigur Rós?
Hilarious, but who cares? They're coming back and that's enough for me, for now...I'm going away to Djerba in a couple of days and all this just sounds way too perfect ^^;

Reading: Nina Simone-Break Down and Let It All Out
Watching: The Constant Gardener

My last entry goes back to last Christmas, hell yes this deserves an update. :writersblock: Well, well where should I start…I’ll start with the most common subject in your journals this past weeks-exams are finally over. It’s like back there there’s nothing you can do peacefully or not being panicking over it. Oh yeah, they went that terribly… :disbelief:
But I honestly must say this: there’s nothing like starting classes again, it’s like the beginning of the year, you have proper, quality time to do what you really want without any sort of stress or limitation :phew: Hence, I wrote all those little things that make me love this time, I hope some of you can see yourselves in this (here it goes):

:pointr: Seeing your friends, skipping classes so you can stay in the cafeteria during the free cappuccino hour eating its delicious home made chocolate cookies and talking about the last 2 months, the darn exams, the darn teacher, the darn administration and realizing nothing changed and cherish the common disenchantment for the fact that this is actually ending :cries:

:pointr: Getting out on a different metro station and go somewhere taking photos of absolutely stupid things

:pointr: Getting intellectually "high" with Gender Studies, Literature classes :meditation: and realizing how lucky you are for studying this sort of stuff

:pointr: Deliberately forgetting about the hours after lunch using the excuse you haven’t taken coffee yet and you’ll totally fall asleep if you don’t, but knowing you’re not placing your foot in classes anyway, because you want to try all the new spring collection in that store, although you know there’s no use for them because it way too cold to use them.

:pointr: Getting lost in the library, setting in the floor surround by books that you actually want to read in opposition to the ones you must read.

:pointr: No homework. That’s something you start doing when there’s only 1 month left for exams and you soon realize you’re totally fucked and there’s no way you’re actually having a decent grade.

:pointr: Making that “I know what you’re talking about” “I’m interested in that” face while the teacher explains something you’ll never remember in about in 5 seconds because you’re way too busy trying to figure out which movie are you seeing tonight in the cinema.

:pointr: Spending peaceful afternoons at Fastasporto watching silent films from the 20’s, peaceful evenings watching all the latter political movies in theatres.

:pointr: Having proper time to lose on FNAC looking for a fictional promotion, only you start unconsciously looking for books that could be interesting to read in the airport because he said he hates airports and loves to read there and forgetting that you actually went there to get a book to yourself yet you have a Wilco cd laying in your hand and it ain’t for you :blushes:

:pointr: Waking up early to study with a friend but once you get there you do everything but studying and you obviously end up on a funny store trying on ridiculous carnival customs.

:pointr: And what’s better you get to celebrate all this during one week in an island bathed by Mediterranean in northern Africa with some friends more precisely here :pointr: [link] …yeah, life’s not bad after exams :sun:  :relax: !! (2 weeks left )

And by now you must be thinking why the Good Night and Good Luck title? Well, I absolutely loved the movie, It's a 5 :star: movie a master piece in my opinion. Along with The Faithful Gardener and Munich, this are 3 of the greatest movies made last year. They are absolutely worth being watched, and I’m not only saying this because they’re politically strong, but they are beautifully made.

Also and speaking of things beautifully made
Extraordinary works: :highfive:

and :+favlove:

Leave the Day free

Mon Dec 26, 2005, 11:44 AM
Listening : Cat Power-The greatest
Watching: My Life Without Me DVD
Reading: A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man-James Joyce

First of all, I wanna apologize all of you for being away in the past couple of weeks and not commenting any of your works or anything at all…
It seems my fate lately- apologizing everyone for not being there at time, or there at all.
I keep loosing track of the hours, I keep letting people waiting for me, sorry . My colleagues from uni haven’t seen me in weeks too. Hopefully, somewhere during this week, I’ll be able to get back to my old timetable, and actually going to sleep somewhere before 4am.
Anyway, I’m sort of back and what’s most exciting; my classes only start again in March, shortly after my senior University trip and before my voyage to Barcelona to visit my dear friend

Christmas rocked, or should I say 24th, it started off with an extraordinary surprising dawn, which lead me to sleep only 4 hours that night and having a incredible dreadful face at Christmas dinner.
Anyway I got 13 gifts :o only friends stuff, but It was really special, everything…And my new fav thing, drunk Santa’s…At my friends house apparently every year someone's picked to play Santa, who’s responsible for giving each one the presents and all that, well this year it was this very drunken hilarious lady, I don’t think I ever laughed so much…she mixed everyone’s presents. So you can imagine everyone opening presents that had nothing to do with them and she didn’t spell my name correctly once, more she told jokes in between, but she was so damn drunk you could barely understand anything she said which made everything even more funnier, I mean my stomach hurt for laughing so hard…oh and add to that a semi-deaf family member who understands everything backwards, and you have the perfect menu.

I hope you all had a smashing Christmas with your favourite Pumpkins (thanks for this :glomp: )

Oh btw, I'd like you to visit my dear friend gallery, she's new here!
Nat's amazing, she's currently studying cinema in Barcelona :blowkiss:

And Arab Strap's most beautiful song to wrap it up nd because lyrics speak better than me.... ^^;

"Go and close the curtains - it’s getting too bright.
We need some music.
Let’s stay up all night.
Put the lights back on - I can’t see your face.
Can you feel it?
It’s going some pace.s
No inhibitions, we could still have some more so pass me my jeans from your side of the floor.

No plans for tomorrow - leave the day free.
Just waste it in bed, waste it with me.

Arab Strap-Leave the day free
